PG3 Family Office Denies Reported Split Among Partners Group Founders

The PG3 family office, established in 2013 by Alfred Gantner, Marcel Erni, and Urs Wietlisbach, continues to operate as a unified entity managing the wealth of all three founders. Contrary to recent media reports alleging a transition toward independence, the firm is not undergoing a split. Instead, the upcoming arrival of Jascha Forster—formerly of Spectrum Value Management—is designed to expand the office's service capacity for individual founder families within the existing framework.

This expansion is part of a forward-looking governance strategy, including a new shareholder agreement intended to address succession and the needs of the next generation. Sources emphasize that there is no rift between the co-founders, who have remained aligned for nearly 30 years. Individual investments have consistently existed alongside the firm's core multi-strategy platform, which focuses on insurance, legal, and royalty finance. These long-term commitments, both to the PG3 platform and to Partners Group itself, remain unchanged.
